💊 Pharmacology:

Tirzepatide is a first-in-class dual incretin receptor agonist that activates:

• Glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) receptors

• Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptors

This dual mechanism:

• Enhances glucose-dependent insulin secretion

• Reduces glucagon levels

• Delays gastric emptying

• Promotes satiety and weight loss

• Improves overall glycemic control

📌 Indications:

Tirzide 10 mg is indicated for:

• Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus as an adjunct to diet and exercise

Not indicated for Type 1 Diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.

💉 Dosage & Administration:

• Starting dose: 2.5 mg once weekly (subcutaneous injection)

• Can be taken with or without meals

• Injection sites: abdomen, thigh, or upper arm
